Fresh meat

Zeno waited bored on he field. He had hoped that somebody would show up, but so far nothing. He grunted and tilted his head back in boredom.

Rose was walking through the desert in her Command Wolf. Then her readings picked up an unidentified zoid. She primed and armed her weapons...just in case. She was a merc, and it never hurt to be cautious.

Zeno picked his head up as he heard a zoid nearby. Hedidn't know many people with zoids so maybe it was an enemy. He snapped into action and burrowed into the ground moving slowly.

Oh, this could be bad. This scorpion zoid was going to attack her. She stood still for a moment, trying to figure out what to do as the tail of the other zoid disapeared. Then she began to run, as fast as she could in circles and zig-zag patterns making sure that the other pilot would not have an easy shot at her.

Hehehe, squirming in the sand.

Zeno could hear the zoid running above with his audio gear. He stood by an area as it ran and readied himself. As soon as he heard it nearby he lunged up from the ground and went to grip it's leg in the claw, ready to make it inoperable with enough pressure.

She had been waiting for it. The rumble under the ground that gave away the other zoid right before it struck. She was already in a dodging maneuver so the pincer did not grab her, however it did push the leg upwards. She was thrown off balance for a second, but came in to bite the claw to pull this pesky zoid out of the sand. Now that it had shown itself, she could use her infared sensor to find the pilot and zoids heat signatures underground. He could not hide forever.
